Why Natural Foods?

Around the world, demand for natural, plant-based foods is skyrocketing as more and more people recognize the profound health and environmental benefits of reducing animal product consumption.

Mark Moore has been a strong proponent of natural foods since becoming a vegetarian in his twenties. He started his career working as a delivery route driver for Wildwood Natural Foods, a tofu company in San Francisco.

Making use of his natural talent for networking and business, Mark grew sales volume on his route by over 300%, and was soon promoted to a sales, marketing and distribution management position for the company. In a short time, he was able to build on his success and triple overall company sales.

Not long after this, Mark launched his own natural foods brokerage and began working with other companies to develop their business.

Building Global Brands

Following his early success, Mark expanded his consulting business, representing major brands such as Stonyfield Farm, Lightlife Foods, Boca Burger, Springfield Creamery, and Organic Valley. He became a key player in the industry, helping brands expand their distribution from small specialty stores to supermarket chains, increasing name recognition and helping them move into the mainstream.

Mark’s work with the breakthrough vegan Boca Burger was such a success that the brand was purchased by Kraft Foods in 2002.

In 2004 Mark joined Turtle Island Foods (Tofurky) as North American Vice-President of Sales, increasing annual sales to $35 million, a 1200% increase over ten years. By 2012 Tofurky had become the #1 selling brand of alternative meat products in Publix supermarkets.

In 2013 he represented Field Roast Grain Meat Co., where he increased both domestic and international sales. As a result of this success, Field Roast was recently acquired by Maple Leaf Foods for $120 million USD.
